Ed Sheeran
After the astonishing success of debut album +, British heartthrob Ed Sheeran has finally announced the follow up record. x will be drop on Monday June 23, with the first single “Sing” to be released on April 25. It’s bound to be a huge record – so keep your ears out.
Mo Kenney
The Canadian singer-songwriter has picked up a couple of awards already – and she hasn’t even released an album yet. Luckily for us, that’s all about to change, with the release of her self-titled debut, due out May 12. There’s a lot of hype around this one, so watch out.
Jordie Lane
Australian troubadour Jordie Lane has just announced the release of a live album – to hit shelves on Good Friday, April 18. It was recorded at Adelaide’s Wheatsheaf Hotel on his solo tour mid last year. You can order physical copies on his website, or else pick it up through iTunes.

Rainbow Chan
We’ve mentioned this one a couple of times now but it deserves another look – Sydney artist Rainbow Chan has released a limited edition vinyl of her EP Long Vacation through Silo Arts & Records. It’s a good one, and you can get your mitts on it here:

I Am The Riot
Melbourne punk outfit I Am The Riot are releasing their debut album Hearts on April 25 – funded by a Pozible campaign. It’s a nice mix of jangly guitars and some cool vocals, so be sure to check it out.
Opeth
Returning with their 11th (!!!) studio album is Opeth, and the release of Pale Communion on June 13 through Warner Music. The metal band have been stalwarts of the industry for a long time now, and this new record is going to push some new boundaries in extreme music.
Yacht Club DJ’s
The Australian mash up duo have just dropped their debut EP – No. 1– which is a little amusing considering they’ve actually been touring the globe for nearly six years – including a sold out run with Mumford & Sons. It’s out now through Create/Control.
David Byrne
Everyone’s favourite musical genius David Byrne has yet another project on the go – this time around it’s the release of the cast recording of Here Lies Love– featuring music by him and also Fatboy Slim, curiously enough. It’s out on May 9 through Nonesuch Records.
I Know Leopard
Sydney group I Know Leopard are getting ready to release their debut EP, Illumina– on May 16. It’s been compared to Grizzly Bear and Beach House – so you know, not a bad wrap. Have a listen to the single, “Daisy Eyes”, here:
